What we have done, and what comes next.
Since the relaunch in 2019, ACO has run a steady set of initiatives in Ouanaminthe. Here is the honest record, and the plan we are working from.
Since 2019
Restoration of religious heritage
One of our first projects was donating a new liturgical chalice to the Catholic Parish of Ouanaminthe. The previous chalice had served parishioners for more than fifty years, including many ACO members at their First Communion. Replacing it was a statement about preserving what shaped us.
Noël Solidarité
Every Christmas, ACO brings gifts, meals and celebration to children from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Ouanaminthe. In December 2025 we raised five thousand dollars and hundreds of children took part. Diaspora members and local residents ran it together.
Ouanaminthe En Blanc
Our signature annual gala, launched in August 2023 at Villa CODEVI with a record 220 guests. It has grown into one of the largest social and cultural gatherings in northeastern Haiti and it funds our charitable work all year.
Educational support
School assistance, student recognition and academic mentoring, with a scholarship fund in active development as our next major commitment.
Construction support
Direct financial contribution toward the construction and improvement of community infrastructure serving the people of Ouanaminthe.
Community development
Ongoing support for projects that strengthen the social fabric of the town, always through partnership with local leaders and institutions rather than around them.
